Sunbird Ku Chawe
Conveniently located 1.5 hours from the Chileka International Airport on the edge of the spectacular Zomba Plateau, Sunbird Ku Chawe is the country's premier mountain resort and world-class conferencing venue. Three stylish conference rooms accommodate between 30 and 500 delegates in supreme comfort. The Nawimbe Room seats a maximum of 30 guests and can be arranged in U-Shape, Boardroom or Theatre configurations. The Chingwe Room seats up to 60 guests and can be arranged in U-Shape, Round, Theatre or Boardroom style. Lastly, the Marquee Room has a maximum capacity of 500 guests and can also be arranged in a U-Shape, Round, Theatre or Boardroom configuration. Conference amenities for each of these venues include LCD projectors, PA systems, audio equipment, flip charts and complimentary WiFi.
Refreshments will be served throughout the day during your conference or executive event, and any other meals will be served at the onsite Mulunguzi Restaurant. A la carte and buffet menus are available, featuring only the best local and international cuisine. Post-conference drinks can be enjoyed at Bastion's Bar, which features an extensive wine list, a fantastic selection of beers, and a mouth-watering cocktail menu.
In terms of conferencing accommodation, Subird Ku Chawe features Deluxe Rooms, Superior Double Rooms, Hillside Suite Rooms and Hillside Deluxe Rooms. Each of these offerings boast double beds, flat screen TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.
Ideal for team building purposes, Sunbird Ku Chawe also offers various nearby activities, a list which include the Zomba Plateau Tour, day trips into the Liwonde National Park and the Zomba City Tour. The plateau tour, in particular, is a popular offering and features visiting a trout farm, viewing the scenic William's Falls and stopping off at the legendary Chingwe's hole.
